Leadership
Jennifer Reese,
Founder & President
Jennifer, whose maiden name was Jennifer Anderson, was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended University Elementary, Caddo Middle Magnet, and Captain Shreve High School. She attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, for two years (2002-2004) and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority before returning home to Shreveport to complete degrees through Colorado Technical University (Bachelor of Science in Administration in Management, 2007, and Bachelor of Science in Accounting, 2009). She earned her Louisiana Notary Public in 2020.
She lived in Gillette, Wyoming, from 2008-2010, and the Houston, Texas, area from 2010-2014, before returning home to Shreveport, briefly living in South Bossier in 2017 and eventually making her way to North Bossier in 2018.
She has worked in the accounting industry since 2008 and works full-time as Assistant Controller for a North American Real Estate Investment Trust and Property Management company based in Canada.
She has two children, who attend schools in the Benton school district.
Besides her full-time job, Stand Together Louisiana work, maintaining her household, and (never-ending) parental responsibilities, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her kids, friends, movies, podcasts, naps, personal development, and online shopping. She'd travel much more if she could!
Jennifer founded Stand Together Louisiana because she felt a pull in her heart that led her to take a stand when no one else would. Bullying has been a personal topic for her on many levels. Once she made a decision to go "all in" and do something about it, there was no turning back. Although this journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking, she has learned so much and hopes the road ahead leads to change for many children and families in Louisiana. The change is needed and necessary, and she hopes to connect with like-minded individuals, groups, and businesses who will join her and/or support her on her journey to making that change a success.
